How it works

What to Expect

You bring the prescription written by your eye doctor. SGK prescriptions are accepted too.

02

Frame Choice

You try frames on in store and pick one that suits your face, your habits and your prescription.

03

Lens Choice

Lens type, thickness and coating are chosen together based on the values on your prescription.

04

Measurements

Pupil distance, optical centre and fitting height are measured on the frame you chose.

05

Mounting and Fitting

The lenses are mounted, the nose pads and arms are adjusted, and your glasses are handed over.

At İlhan Optik in Kemalpasa we make up your prescription glasses from your eye doctor's prescription. Bring the prescription with you and we choose the frame and lenses together, then measure and adjust the glasses to your face. The store is in Mehmet Akif Ersoy Mahallesi, about 25 minutes from Bornova and 35 minutes from Buca.

In Turkey your prescription is set by an eye doctor during an eye examination. Our job as opticians is to turn the values on that prescription into glasses with the right lenses and the right measurements. Pupil distance, optical centre and fitting height are measured in store on the frame you choose. These measurements matter even more with progressive and bifocal lenses.

If your prescription is old or your vision feels different, see an eye doctor first. When you come in with the new prescription and your frame is still sound, we can replace just the lenses. With an SGK prescription we also check your glasses entitlement in store.
